Job summary

Zurich Sweden is seeking a motivated Junior Underwriter to join our Financial Lines team. You will learn to assess risk, prepare quotations, and build strong broker and customer relationships while supporting senior underwriters.

With guidance from experienced colleagues, you will develop underwriting skills, gain insight into directors’ and officers’ liability, professional indemnity, and crime insurance, and contribute to portfolio development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, law, business, finance, insurance, or another relevant field.
• Experience from insurance, financial services, legal services, risk, claims, broking, or another relevant field is a plus (Financial Lines advantageous).
• Interest in commercial insurance, risk analysis, and customer relationships.
• Willingness to learn and develop within Financial Lines underwriting.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish at a C2 level.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the underwriting process for new business and renewals.
• Analyzing information and documentation to support risk assessment and underwriting decisions.
• Preparing quotations and policy-related material in a timely and structured way.
• Collaborating with colleagues, brokers, and customers to deliver a high level of service.
• Contributing to customer acquisition, retention, and profitable portfolio development.
• Developing understanding of Zurich’s Financial Lines offering and the broader commercial insurance market.
