IT & Security Lead for Europe Expansion

Job summary

DigitalTolk, a Stockholm-based language services company, is seeking an IT Manager to own internal IT, lead IT support, and set policy and standards. You will drive compliance with GDPR and security requirements while coordinating across Europe as we acquire new companies and unify IT standards.

You will manage the IT team, budget and vendor relations, and oversee Windows servers, M365, and the broader tech stack to enable secure, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations experience, including 2+ years leading an IT/support team.
• Degree in IT, computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace, Entra ID (Azure AD) and MDM tools (Intune, Jamf).
• Solid grasp of networking, endpoint security, backup and access management.
• Experience with GDPR and information security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIS2.
• Experience managing IT budgets, vendors and licences; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash or Python).
• Clear communicator who can explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues; English proficient; Swedish and/or German language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT Support team, set priorities, service levels and ways of working.
• Own internal IT roadmap and budget aligned with growth and CTO strategy.
• Escalation point for complex or high-impact IT issues.
• Ensure day-to-day IT support across Sweden and European offices.
• Own device lifecycle: procurement, setup, inventory, repair, disposal.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding including accounts and access rights.
• Administer SaaS and collaboration stack (Microsoft 365).
• Oversee networks, Wi-Fi, telephony and meeting-room equipment.
• Oversee IT security policies, access control (MFA/SSO) and endpoint protection.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and support NIS2 and ISO 27001 requirements.
