SSC - Swedish Space Corporation is looking for an IRIS² Security Officer to manage security and resilience for the EU Communication Gateway. This role is vital for identifying and mitigating security risks while ensuring compliance across operations and engineering.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in security management within complex programs and will be responsible for overseeing security standards, coordinating audits, and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements. This role is critical to safeguarding programme delivery, ensuring that security risks are identified, assessed, controlled, and resolved before they impact system integrity, availability, compliance, or operational acceptance. In this role you will act as the security authority for SSC’s COMM GW lot within IRIS², leading and coordinating end‑to‑end security and resilience management across a complex, multi‑partner ground segment environment. You will ensure that security requirements, controls, and risk management activities are consistently implemented across engineering, operations, suppliers, and programme delivery. Operating within established programme governance, you will ensure that security risks, incidents, and compliance gaps are properly escalated and addressed, and that alignment with contractual requirements, regulatory frameworks, and SSC Space internal security and resilience governance is maintained. You will balance delivery objectives with security and compliance requirements in a highly regulated environment, ensuring effective coordination without compromising programme integrity. Working closely with programme leadership, engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders, you will act as the focal point for security‑related coordination and reporting.
