Job summary

Abion seeks a Swedish-based intellectual property lawyer to join our Swedish legal team of 14, located in Stockholm and collaborating with colleagues across Europe and beyond. You will lead trademark and design clearance, advise on registrations, and manage filings and disputes.

The role requires excellent Swedish and English, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to build client relationships in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in Swedish and English.
• Strong commercial awareness and business-oriented advice.
• Experience managing trademark and design matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international counsel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trademark and design clearance searches and advise on availability and filing strategy.
• Monitor third-party filings and handle oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement actions.
• Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements (licence, coexistence, assignment).
• Advise clients on trademark portfolio strategy, protection, and enforcement.
• Manage international trademark and design matters with foreign counsel.
• Provide strategic legal advice and support on IP disputes.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships, with training on IP matters.
