Job summary

Abion is seeking a hands-on finance leader to shape the next phase of growth. Reporting to the Group CFO in Gothenburg, you will lead the accounting and control team across Sweden and the UK, owning the integrity of our financial reporting and building scalable processes for expansion.

You will drive group consolidation, reporting, tax compliance, treasury and acquisition accounting, while guiding ERP harmonisation, automation and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of finance experience, ideally including audit or Big Four.
• Leadership in Group Accounting or Financial Control within an international multi-entity business
• Fluency in English and Swedish is instrumental.

Responsibilities

• Own Group consolidation, reporting and the end-to-end monthly close.
• Safeguard balance-sheet integrity, accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance across our entities.
• Manage treasury operations and support liquidity forecasting.
• Lead acquisition accounting and integrate new entities into Group reporting.
• Drive ERP harmonisation, automation and AI initiatives within Finance.
• Develop a high-performing international team with clear accountability.
• Act as a trusted partner to the CFO on performance, risk and quality of earnings.

Reporting to the Group CFO in Gothenburg, you will lead the accounting and control team across Sweden and the UK. You will own the integrity of our financial reporting while building efficient, scalable processes for continued growth.

Your key responsibilities

• Own Group consolidation, reporting and the end-to-end monthly close.

• Safeguard balance‑sheet integrity, accounting policies and internal controls.

• Lead statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance across our entities.

• Manage treasury operations and support liquidity forecasting.

• Lead acquisition accounting and integrate new entities into Group reporting.

Who you are

You combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial judgement, leadership and a drive to improve. You are comfortable switching between strategic priorities and hands‑on delivery in a fast‑moving environment.

We believe you bring:

• 10+ years of finance experience, ideally including audit or Big Four.

• Leadership experience in Group Accounting or Financial Control within an international, multi‑entity business

• Strong IFRS, consolidation and local GAAP expertise

• Experience from a PE‑backed and acquisition‑driven environment

• A track record of leading finance transformation, such as ERP, consolidation or close improvements

• Clear, proactive communication and confidence in making difficult decisions

• Fluency in English and Swedish is instrumental

• Curiosity about technology, automation and AI
