Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Software Defined Vehicle / Vehicle Software Deployment team. You will shape, modernize and operate critical infrastructure for vehicle software, collaborating with global teams to deliver secure and scalable services that align with business goals.

You will lead initiatives, mentor peers, and ensure reliability, security and cost-efficiency while driving continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing and other domains.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, platform operations or infrastructure services.
• Deep expertise in one or more infrastructure domains with broad technical understanding.
• Experience designing, operating and modernizing business-critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of reliability, security, compliance and lifecycle management.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Experience working with external suppliers and service providers.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define infrastructure strategies, target architectures and roadmaps.
• Design, improve and modernize infrastructure solutions for the vehicle software landscape.
• Drive lifecycle management, migrations, upgrades and technical debt reduction.
• Ensure infrastructure delivers high availability, security, scalability and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to secure quality service delivery.
• Partner with architects, product teams and business stakeholders to align technology with business needs.
• Drive automation, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a technical leader, mentor and trusted expert within your domain.
