Job summary

Stegra is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for its Digital Site Services team to build and run the infrastructure behind a large industrial site.

You will automate provisioning and manage VMware/Nutanix, Windows Server, AD, storage and DR, while moving toward 24/7 operations. This role involves collaboration with network, platform and automation engineers and includes on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering/CS or related field or equivalent experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure and data center operations.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and virtualization.
Strong understanding of servers, storage, backup and recovery.
Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, patching and lifecycle management.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
Scripting skills in PowerShell and Python or similar.
Experience in production-critical IT environments.

Responsibilities

Operate and develop our physical and virtual server infrastructure.
Work with VMware/Nutanix, Windows Server and Active Directory.
Automate provisioning, configuration, patching and other infra tasks.
Work with storage, backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
Improve monitoring, alerting, performance and availability.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support production-critical systems.
Help install, test and commission new infrastructure.
Collaborate with network, platform and automation engineers; participate in on-call rotation.
