Job summary

Stegra is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for its Digital Site Services team to build and run the infrastructure behind a large industrial site in Boden, Northern Sweden. You’ll help move to 24/7 operations, automate provisioning, and work with VMware, Nutanix, Windows Server and Active Directory.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, monitor and optimize infrastructure, while contributing to the company’s mission of sustainable industry and green hydrogen initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Several years working with enterprise infrastructure and data center operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and virtualization.
• Solid understanding of servers, storage, backup and recovery.
• Comfortable with monitoring, troubleshooting, patching and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or similar.
• Used to working with production-critical IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and develop our physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Work with VMware/Nutanix, Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, patching and other infrastructure tasks.
• Work with storage, backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support production-critical systems.
• Help install, test and commission new infrastructure.
• Work with network, platform and automation engineers as well as technology vendors.
• Take part in an on-call rotation as we move into 24/7 operations.
