Job summary

Saab AB is seeking an Information Security Specialist to lead the continued development and enforcement of our Security Management System (SMS). You will bridge security strategy and operational execution, working with IT and other functions to ensure compliance and risk mitigation in a complex, international environment.

Qualifications

• University degree and/or relevant experience in information security, IT security, risk management, or related areas.
• Experience in information security governance, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-171, and/or protective security/COMSEC.
• Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building, ability to explain security risks in Swedish and English.

Your role

We are seeking highly organized and relationship-driven Information Security Specialists to join our team within Business Area Surveillance. In this role, you will work in an international context where advanced security threats, complex IT environments and high-impact business projects are part of the everyday business.

You will lead the implementation and maintenance of our Security Management System (SMS), ensuring a robust, compliant, and effective governance framework. You will be responsible for modernizing operating procedures to drive efficiency and bridging the gap between security strategy and practical execution. Acting as the primary lead for security requirements, you will be working closely with functions such as IT to ensure compliance, oversight and risk mitigation for IT system lifecycle.

Your main tasks will be:

• Maintain and develop the Security Management System (SMS) in line with ISO/IEC 27001, best practices and the organisation’s goals.
• Translate security requirements into practical guidelines for business and IT teams.
• Oversee the implementation of security controls across the organization.
• Improve processes through digital tools and automation.
• Monitor compliance and security controls, identifying and addressing gaps.
• Coordinate information security risk management activities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, auditors, and management.
• Act as a trusted security partner, providing guidance and support across the organization.

Preferred locations for this role are Solna/Stockholm or Kallebäck/Göteborg.

Required skills:

• University degree and/or relevant experience in information security, IT security, risk management, or related areas.
• Experience in information security governance, preferably including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-171, and/or protective security and COMSEC.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain security risks and requirements in Swedish and English.

Desired skills:

• Experience with security accreditation and secure IT system design.
• Experience from the defense industry, government authorities, or global organizations.
• Experience in quality management and development of security-related processes, methods, and tools.
• Experience creating and improving SOPs using digital tools and automation.
• Leadership and/or project management experience.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
