MilDef in Helsingborg seeks an Information Security Specialist to strengthen security across the MilDef Group. The role blends policy, risk management and compliance with business needs, reporting to the CISO. Grow security awareness and shape global practices in an international environment.

You will drive risk assessments, training initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration to protect information assets and support ongoing projects, including defense and critical infrastructure contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience within information security.
• Good knowledge of ISO/IEC 27000 series and information security management systems.
• Experience with security risk assessments and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of national and international cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of how IT security connects to information security.
• Experience developing initiatives that strengthen security awareness and culture.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Conduct risk assessments, security audits and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate information security risks.
• Support compliance with regulations, frameworks and standards (CMMC, NIS2, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, GDPR, NIST CSF 2.0).
• Manage and investigate information security incidents, identify root causes and develop measures to reduce recurrence.
• Support organization and ongoing projects with information security expertise and guidance.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to align with security requirements.
• Develop and lead information security training and awareness initiatives.
• Contribute to building a strong security culture and stay updated on threats and practices.
• Communicate security requirements clearly across functions and levels.

As our Information Security Specialist, you will play an important role in strengthening information security across MilDef Group. You will work in a broad role where information security meets technology, compliance, risk management and business needs. Together with colleagues across Group IT and other parts of the organization, you will help us build structures, awareness and ways of working that protect our information and support a growing international business. This role is a great fit for someone who combines a solid understanding of information security with a pragmatic and collaborative mindset. You enjoy turning requirements into practical solutions, building strong relationships with stakeholders and finding the right balance between security and business priorities. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at MilDef Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain information security policies, procedures and standards across MilDef Group.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate information security risks.
• Support compliance with relevant regulations, frameworks and standards, including CMMC, NIS2, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, GDPR and NIST CSF 2.0.

• Support the organization and ongoing projects with information security expertise and guidance.

What You Bring

We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field – or equivalent experience.

You also bring:

• At least 3 years of experience within information security.
• Good knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27000 series and information security management systems.
• Experience with security risk assessments and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of national and international cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements.
• An understanding of how IT security connects to the broader field of information security.
• Experience working with information security from a protective security perspective.
• Experience developing initiatives that strengthen security awareness and culture.
• Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Experience from the defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure or government sectors is highly valuable, as is an understanding of security requirements and customer expectations within the defense industry.

Certifications such as CISM, CISSP or CRISC are not required, but are considered a strong advantage.

Just as important as your technical knowledge is how you work. You are structured and comfortable managing several priorities, while being able to work both independently and together with others. You communicate security requirements in a clear and practical way and enjoy collaborating with people across different functions and levels of an organization.
