Job summary

Saab in Sweden is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join Business Area Surveillance. You will lead the implementation and maintenance of our Security Management System and ensure a robust governance framework across IT and business units in an international context.

The role emphasizes translating security requirements into practical guidelines, overseeing controls, and driving improvements with digital tools.

Qualifications

• University degree and/or relevant experience in information security, IT security, risk management, or related areas.
• Experience in information security governance, preferably including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-171, and/or protective security and COMSEC.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain security risks and requirements in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Security Management System (SMS) in line with ISO/IEC 27001, best practices and the organisation’s goals.
• Translate security requirements into practical guidelines for business and IT teams.
• Oversee the implementation of security controls across the organization.
• Improve processes through digital tools and automation.
• Monitor compliance and security controls, identifying and addressing gaps.
• Coordinate information security risk management activities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, auditors, and management.
• Act as a trusted security partner, providing guidance and support across the organization.
