Job summary

Coherent in Sweden seeks a data analytics professional to apply ML/AI techniques to improve yield, quality, and process understanding. You will build automated tools and models for prediction, monitoring, and decision support, collaborating with Product Engineering, WFAB, Backend, Process Integration, and Software teams.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of industrial experience with data analysis, ML/AI, and programming in Python.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ML, mechatronics, electronics, nanotechnology, or a related field with an AI/ML thesis.
• Minimum 3 years industrial experience delivering ML/AI or data analytics projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with large datasets and applying statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large engineering datasets to identify trends.
• Apply ML/AI methods for prediction and detection.
• Develop automated tools for analysis and reporting.
• Build models for yield and failure risk.
• Standardize data structures and KPIs.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate data into actions.
• Bridge Product Engineering with IT and data systems.
