Job summary

Matas Group is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI Engineering team in Sweden. You will help develop AI-based systems and backend components, collaborating with product owners, developers, and data engineers to translate needs into production-grade solutions.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, scalable architectures, and the ability to drive decisions across the organization while delivering high-impact results in the Nordics retail space.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a Data Scientist or another technically oriented role.
• Strong interest in modern AI technology and generative AI, with ambition to deepen expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom AI solutions or use AI frameworks to achieve business objectives.
• Develop backend components and APIs in Python.
• Build data processing pipelines (Pandas / SQL / PySpark).
• Create prototypes and demos to explore and demonstrate new solutions.
• Drive technical decisions and ensure the quality and scalability of AI implementations.
