Job summary
Hitachi Energy in Sweden is seeking a System Study Engineer to join the HVDC System Performance Department. You will contribute to the performance and stability studies of HVDC links and their interaction with AC networks, across the project lifecycle.
The role offers exposure to large-scale HVDC projects, collaboration with global experts, and a supportive environment with hybrid work options. You will analyze system dynamics and contribute to our testing and commissioning efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering (HVDC preferred)
- Experience in power systems studies is welcome
- Familiarity with PSCAD/EMTDC, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform studies, analysis and optimizations of the system dynamic performance for HVDC deliveries including development of control algorithms.
- Contribute during testing of control and protection systems in-house and commissioning at sites around the world.
- Participate in different stages of an HVDC project lifecycle, including support of sales during marketing, tenders and orders.
- Cooperate with leading specialists of various disciplines involved in project and tender deliveries.
