Hitachi Energy in Sweden is seeking a Simulation Model Engineer to dive into the world of simulation for HVDC systems and related power network studies. You will work with leading tools to model control and protection systems and collaborate with a global team on impactful renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with control/signal theory, dynamic modelling, or power system tools.
• Knowledge and/or interest in programming (C++, C#, Fortran, Python, MATLAB, Modelica).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Fluency in English, global operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models in various tools used for power system studies.
• Create tools for virtual representation of real-time control and protection systems.
• Produce technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Engage with customers from specification to final acceptance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in simulation models and tools.
