Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden is seeking an experienced planning and project controls professional to lead scheduling for HVDC service projects and tenders. You will deliver Earned Value Management insights, monitor progress, and drive adherence to baselines across multi-location EPC efforts.

You will collaborate with project teams, define resource-loaded schedules, and support SOP processes, ensuring timely communication with management and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and/or cost control on lump sum projects or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of logical sequencing and interfacing of project execution activities in EPC projects.
• Ability to lead planning and project controls activities in multi-location EPC projects.
• Experience to plan activities and monitoring execution schedules and physical progress in all project phases.
• Experience in cost management, including cost estimate input from departments, comparing estimate input to experience data, ensuring compliance with time schedule.
• Strong communication skills, ability to highlight key issues and communicate them to management and other stakeholders.
• Team player, with team management and leadership skills.
• Engineering degree and proficiency in English are required, additional language skills incl Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling and efforts for all project and tender phases.
• Provide Earned Value Management analysis with look ahead, reliable data on schedule, progress, forecasts, resources and risks.
• Maintain strong scope management to drive projects and tenders within HVDC service.
• Analyze project requirements with the team to develop realistic project schedules.
• Define work and cost breakdown structures and maintain linked baselined schedules with time-phased data.
• Monitor progress, analyze critical paths, and notify deviations with input for optimizing resources.
• Issue progress reports, program updates and productivity data for customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) at HVDC Service.
