Job summary

Newcode.ai is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to build and scale our HR function from scratch to support our global teams across Norway, Sweden, Ireland, and the US. This role will own all aspects of HR ranging from people operations, talent acquisition, employee experience programs, and HR policies, and ensuring we attract, retain, and support exceptional talent while maintaining a strong and inclusive culture.

We are currently at 50 employees but are growing rapidly.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HR experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in high-growth startups.
• Knowledge of employment regulations across operating regions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across functions and geographies.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Own HR systems, employee records, benefits administration, and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and programs in compliance with local regulations.
• Support performance management and talent planning initiatives.
• Monitor key people metrics and provide insights to support business objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR matters.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts across multiple functions and geographies
• People Operations
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Own core people operations, including HR systems, employee records, benefits administration, and documentation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and people programs in compliance with local employment regulations
• Performance & Talent Management
  • Support performance management, employee development, and talent planning initiatives
  • Identify high and low performers and partner with leaders to develop appropriate action plans
• HR Strategy & Analytics
  • Monitor and improve key people metrics, providing insights and recommendations to support business objectives
• Employee Relations & Business Partnership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on people-related matters, policies, and HR best practices

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations across one or more of our operating regions
