Job summary

Combient Group, Stockholm-based, seeks a socially and technically fluent human-centered AI researcher (social science) to join the Combient AI Center. You will work with the Anthropology Lead to study how industrial giants navigate the AI transition, balancing human-centric design with enterprise-scale challenges.

You will conduct ethnographic studies, lead qualitative methods, and bridge communication between leadership, ethics, policy, and technical teams to ensure ethically aligned,

Qualifications

• Background in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology or Cognitive Science/HCI.
• Proven track record in user experience research and mixed-methods data collection.
• Understanding of ML basics and software architecture; digital literacy.
• Strategic thinker who can propose research tracks independently.
• Strong communication skills to relay insights to engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead ethnographic studies on human-AI interactions in industrial settings.
• Design and conduct semi-structured interviews and mixed-methods research.
• Analyze behavioral data to inform product strategy and ethical considerations.
• Collaborate with leadership, ethics, policy, and engineering teams.
• Own research projects from conception to completion.
