Job summary

OHLA Sverige is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to oversee work environment plans and ensure regulatory compliance across infrastructure projects in Sweden. The role includes leading safety walks, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating safety training for internal teams and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of construction health and safety experience, familiarity with ISO 45001/OHSAS, and proficiency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in construction projects (large infrastructure projects highly appreciated)
• ISO 45001/OHSAS management systems knowledge
• Experience with Trafikverket and railway projects is a plus
• Located in Sweden and fluent in Swedish and English

Responsibilities

• Periodic review of the Work Environment Plan and related plans
• Ensure legal compliance; develop routines and processes
• Report unsafe conditions and investigate incidents, accidents and observations
• Enrolment and onboarding of new workforce (competencies, ID06, Infobric)
• Produce risk assessments and review method statements
• Conduct daily safety walks and inspections
• Lead toolbox talks and training for staff and subcontractors
• Participate in coordination meetings
• Monthly reporting of severity rates and trends
• Focus on work at height and scaffolding safety
• Perform fire safety inspections, including hot works
• Support BAS-U in daily tasks

• Reporting unsafe conditions and investigating incidents, accidents and observations

• Producing risk assessments and reviewing method statements
• Daily safety walks and inspections
• Toolbox talks and other specific training sessions internally and for subcontractors
• Participation in coordination meetings
• Monthly reporting of severity rates and trend analysis
• Special focus on work at height and scaffolding
• Fire safety inspections, including hot works
• Support BAS-U in daily tasks

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in construction projects (large infrastructure projects highly appreciated)
