Job summary

Tibber is seeking a Head of Platform & Agentic Enablement to accelerate our engineering velocity and scale our internal platform as a product. You’ll lead a team of 5–10 senior engineers and shape the platform roadmap, tooling, and safety standards to deliver reliable software at speed.

You’ll partner with product and engineering leaders to align platform capabilities with business goals, champion developer experience, and uphold risk-aware practices in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background to facilitate architectural alignment.
• Experience building or scaling agentic development and eval pipelines with safety boundaries.
• Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or developer experience teams, with cloud expertise (AWS, Kubernetes, IaC).
• Proven engineering management, coaching, and fostering psychological safety.
• Service-minded approach with clear communication from engineers to executives.
• Comfort leading in ambiguous contexts with risk-aware thinking (least-privilege, blast radius).

Job Mission

As our Head of Platform & Agentic Enablement, you'll play a key role in accelerating the energy transition by empowering our engineering teams to ship smart software faster and with absolute confidence. You will treat our internal infrastructure as a product, scaling our developer experience and leading the agentic shift so Tibber can reliably deliver savings to millions of homes.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow the team: Manage, coach, and support a talented team of 5 to 10 senior engineers, fostering an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
• Run the platform as a product: Own the platform roadmap, reliability, and strategic direction, using adoption metrics to measure internal success.
• Scale agentic development: Build, scale, and drive org-wide adoption of our internal agentic development platform and tooling to supercharge engineering workflows.
• Supercharge developer experience: Remove friction across the engineering lifecycle, ensuring a seamless, fast, and secure path from idea to production.
• Establish safety standards: Define and implement company-wide frameworks for technical oversight, system safety, and architectural reversibility.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product leaders and engineering managers to manage dependencies and align platform capabilities with business goals.

• Bring a strong engineering background with the technical depth to facilitate architectural alignment and hold a high quality bar.
• Have demonstrable experience building or scaling agentic development - agents that write, test, review, and ship code, plus the eval pipelines and human-in-the-loop boundaries that keep them safe in production.
• Have clear experience leading platform, infrastructure, or developer experience teams, with a solid grounding in cloud ecosystems (AWS, Kubernetes, IaC).
• Possess a proven track record in engineering management, showing a passion for coaching great people, building trust, and maintaining psychological safety.
• Approach internal platforms with a service mindset, leveraging strong communication to influence everyone from engineers to executives.
• Thrive in ambiguous contexts, using risk-aware thinking (like least-privilege and blast-radius principles) to safely guide teams through the ups and downs of product delivery.
