Tandem Health is seeking a Director of Engineering in Stockholm to shape how engineering is done across the company. You will be the craft leader and operational head of the platform org, elevating software quality and delivery velocity while maintaining architectural standards.

You’ll guide architecture decisions, improve workflows, and mentor leaders across teams. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on contribution in a fast-growing health-tech company.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with focus on quality and craft.
• Experience setting up agentic engineering principles across orgs.
• Proven track record leading large technical initiatives or teams.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to balance speed, scalability, maintainability.
• Excellent communication and ability to align teams around engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the overall engineering craft at Tandem.
• Push agentic engineering to enable faster, higher quality delivery.
• Improve processes, tooling, and development practices across teams.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to shape products.
• Mentor engineers and Tech Leads with technical guidance and collaboration.
• Contribute hands-on when needed across architecture and systems design.
• Create alignment around technical direction and quality across the company.
• Drive high-velocity delivery with 99.99% uptime.
