Job summary

IKEA Älmhult is seeking a Rooms Manager to lead the Rooms function for IKEA Hotell, including Reception, Housekeeping and guest experience, while driving occupancy and operational performance.

You will manage the Reception Manager and Housekeeping Leader, partner with an external housekeeping provider, and help shape operations ahead of the 2028 hotel opening, reflecting IKEA values in guest journeys.

Qualifications

• Experience leading leaders, teams or larger operational functions in service-oriented environments.
• Strong business understanding and experience with budgets, occupancy, capacity planning or similar performance measures.
• Ability to analyse information, identify opportunities and turn insights into actions and decisions.
• Experience improving operational performance through changes in routines, processes or ways of working.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and functions.
• Ability to lead change and create engagement around new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Reception Manager and Housekeeping Leader, helping them build high-performing teams and strong daily operations in our hotel, museums and conference facilities.
• Drive occupancy and capacity utilisation through proactive planning, forecasting and collaboration across the business.
• Strengthen quality, service standards and operational efficiency with our external housekeeping partner.
• Identify and implement improvements that strengthen guest journeys and operational performance.
• Help shape the future of IKEA Hotell ahead of the opening in 2028, developing operations and guest experiences in line with IKEA values.
