Job summary

IKEA Älmhult AB is seeking a Sales & Booking Generalist to guide guests from first enquiry to arrival, coordinating bookings for hotels, museums, events and dining within IKEA’s hospitality and destination offering.

You will build relationships with guests, customers and partners, identify opportunities, and contribute to higher bookings and stronger customer relationships while using our booking systems and digital tools.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with customers, guests or clients in a service, sales or booking‑related environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and work across Teams.
• A proactive approach to sales, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn enquiries into bookings.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with structure and accuracy.
• Confidence using digital tools and systems, with the ability to learn new booking and customer management platforms.
• Ability to take initiative, follow up on opportunities and contribute to proactive sales and customer‑focused work.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with partners, customers and guests, helping them find the right solutions while creating a smooth and welcoming experience from first enquiry to arrival.
• Handle customer enquiries, offers and bookings, ensuring accurate information, timely follow-up and a seamless customer journey.
• Identify sales opportunities, understand customer needs and contribute to increased bookings and long‑term customer relationships.
• Work with booking systems, customer information and digital tools while contributing to the development of more effective ways of working.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across hospitality, museums, restaurants and event businesses to deliver great guest experiences and support business growth.
