A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day as a manager in engineering focuses on the continuous development of your team of engineers and our delivery projects but it will also entail cross-functional discussions regarding our projects, processes and tools. You work together with your operations coordinator to pave the way for the project members in their order projects and develop the team.
Electrical Systems is a department with many interfaces and maintaining a collaborative network is essential to ensure we manage to deliver from sales phase to customer acceptance at site. We are heavily affected by the order intake of the company, and part of your work is to challenge our ways of working, think big and drive improvements to stay flexible. As manager for the low voltage team, you are responsible for ensuring we have the right technical competence in the area. You work with your chief engineers to share knowledge and collaborate across the company within the technical area. Examples of components within this area are switchgears and motors.
The daily work as a group manager is flexible and adapted to the needs of the team. A normal day might start with a check-in with the team, ensuring everyone has what they need for their daily work. You work together with one of your interfaces to find a better way of working and then move on to a continuous dialogue meeting with a colleague to check in and discuss personal development.
After lunch you sit with your operative coordinator to discuss resource management in upcoming projects before heading off for a discussion with the leadership team on strategic topics for the coming 6 months.

About the Team
The low voltage team is one of four construction teams within Electrical systems. The team consists of around 25 team members, located in Sweden and India. We currently also collaborate with colleagues from other departments in both US and Austria. You will work together with an operations coordinator who guides the team in their way of working and helps you plan the operational work. You also have chief engineers in the team that supports the department with in-depth technical competence.
You report to the head of electrical systems and are part of the electrical systems leadership team. We work together to find the best solutions and value everyone’s input. You will join a team where we have fun in our daily work but also come together to solve tough problems and questions.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
