Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Västerås is seeking a Transport and Logistics Planner to manage shipments worldwide, ensuring on-time delivery with proper documentation. The role collaborates with internal managers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to coordinate packing, labeling, and compliance.

You will work in a fast-paced, global environment emphasizing cross-functional teamwork, regulatory adherence, and continuous process improvement. English fluency is required to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in transport/logistics/shipping.
• Basic knowledge of logistics compliance (import/export documentation/rules).
• Strong communication and networking skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent administration skills with ability to handle high-intensity periods.
• Fluency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of goods from packing to delivery at site, from planning to monitoring.
• Fulfill packing, marking and shipping procedures and create shipping documents per project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal project managers, suppliers, forwarders and customers to ensure smooth shipping.
• Keep project timelines and transportation budgets aligned with targets.
• Represent Logistics in project teams and communicate current processes and regulations.
• Establish best execution practices and drive ongoing improvement initiatives.
