Job summary

Google data centers rely on our Facilities Technicians to operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems around the clock. You will focus on controls, UPS, power distribution, and monitoring to ensure safe and reliable operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in controls/automation in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks up to 50 lbs (23 kg) with PPE.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems such as servers, network equipment, PLCs, system administration, access control, alarm investigation, and SCADA management.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new controls equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
• Monitor multiple information streams in the control room and make accurate mission-critical decisions.
• Be responsible for uptime, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building management systems and power monitoring.
