Job summary

Google Sweden is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and inspect generator sets and electrical systems within its data centers. You will help ensure reliable power, cooling, and infrastructure, while following safety standards and cost-efficient practices.

The role involves collaborating with contractors, supporting startup and commissioning of equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement in operational efficiency and environmental safety across the facilities.

Qualifications

Associate's degree, trade certification, or related certified training in a technical field.
5 years generator experience in industrial or commercial environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use OSHA PPE.
Willingness to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on generator sets.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Perform major and minor repairs on engines, alternators, control panels, and electrical systems.
Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities systems.
Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new generator equipment and systems.
