Job summary

Hitachi Energy Västerås is seeking a Project SCM Specialist to act as the focal point between HVDC and suppliers during project execution. You will collaborate with project managers, planners and engineers to ensure timely, cost‑effective and high‑quality equipment deliveries while actively managing supplier relationships.

The role requires experience with suppliers, negotiation and a collaborative, results‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in SCM, business & administration, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience interacting with suppliers and negotiating commercial discussions.
• Collaborative, reliable team player with an independent, results‑oriented working style.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point between HVDC and suppliers during project execution.
• Collaborate with Project SCM Managers, Logistic Planners, Engineers, Documentation Control and Suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget, quality deliveries.
• Share ownership of equipment or project responsibilities in a team of Project SCM Specialists.
• Drive proactive planning and follow-up on all equipment deliveries with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in kick-off and clarification meetings with suppliers.
• Work with the Project SCM Manager to resolve upcoming quality constraints or deficiencies in supplier deliveries.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity in daily actions.
