Job summary

VAROPreem is seeking a Procurement Development Manager to lead a multi-year transformation, own the procurement development roadmap, and partner with senior leaders to establish world-class procurement practices across a global organization.

You will drive governance, digitalization, capability building, ESG, and supplier management while influencing stakeholders across multiple countries and functions. The role can be based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Baar or Cressier.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in procurement development or transformation.
• Proven track record leading large-scale, multi-year programs across international orgs.
• Strong S2P design, optimization and implementation experience.
• Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Commercial mindset with ability to create business value.
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, refining, chemicals, or other regulated industries is desirable.
• Experience implementing or optimizing procurement technology platforms.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Standardize and improve S2P processes and governance across the organization.
• Design and implement procurement policies, frameworks, and playbooks across countries, legal entities, and categories.
• Develop and maintain procurement tools strategy, including eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, supplier portals, and analytics platforms.
• Establish common procurement data standards, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting structures to enable global transparency and comparability.
• Drive change management and adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across Procurement, Finance, Operations, and the wider business.
• Lead and inspire a highly diverse and international team, creating a culture of growth, collaboration, courage, and continuous improvement.
