Job summary

Einride AB is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety for autonomous freight operations. This role involves improving the Safety Management System, establishing safety governance, and partnering with engineering teams to define safety requirements.

Ideal candidates will have over 15 years of experience in safety-critical industries and significant expertise in safety standards relevant to autonomous vehicles. This is a full-time position based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or the U.S., requiring considerable travel.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in a highly-regulated, safety-critical industry.
• 10+ years in automated systems or autonomous vehicles.
• Proven track record of implementing safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and improvement of the Safety Management System.
• Own the end-to-end safety case for autonomous operations.
• Establish internal and external safety governance structures.
• Partner with teams to define high-level safety requirements.
• Oversee software safety assessment processes.
• Ensure robust safety-relevant architecture and redundancy concepts.
• Define operational procedures and operator requirements.
• Oversee safety incident response programs.

Skills

Understanding of ISO 26262 and related standards
