Job summary

Ascilion seeks a Financial Controller to lead the financial backbone of a growing deep-tech and medical technology company. Based in Kista, the role reports to the CEO and offers potential growth toward a CFO position.

The candidate will own reporting, controls and budgeting while coordinating with auditors, banks and investors. The position emphasizes real-time reporting, governance, and strategic financial planning to support international expansion and long-term profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
• Experience in accounting with focus on reporting, controlling and compliance.
• Experience with investors, boards, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and governance.
• Swedish GAAP knowledge; US GAAP or IFRS is a plus.
• Experience from scaling companies, international operations, medtech, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the company’s financial operations and reporting structure.
• Ensure high-quality financial reporting towards investors, board, auditors and authorities.
• Prepare board material, financial presentations, forecasts, and KPI reporting.
• Coordinate relationships with bookkeeping firms, auditors, banks and investors.
• Develop and improve internal financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.
• Support international expansion including subsidiaries and cross-border structures.
• Drive budgeting, liquidity planning, cash flow management and long-term planning.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Support operational scaling with management and technical leadership.
