Job summary

emagine is seeking a GCP Developer (Cloud Foundation) to work with SEB on a Google Cloud platform. The role focuses on landing zones, guardrails and automated security checks, with a mix of onsite and remote work in Stockholm.

You will join from day one and help drive delivery across teams while staying aligned with security and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have strong GCP experience in large environments, Terraform IaC, GitHub Actions CI/CD, Python, and IAM/security

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform in large, complex environments.
• Terraform and infrastructure as code expertise.
• CI/CD experience, especially GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, network security, encryption and key management.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments with many stakeholders.
• Agile ways of working and close collaboration in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain landing zones and the capabilities they build on in the GCP platform.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Automate manual work and enforce guardrails and automated compliance checks.
• Collaborate closely with the GCP team and development teams using the platform.
• Document solutions, decisions and configurations for handover at project end.

emagine is looking for a GCP Developer (Cloud Foundation) to one of our banking clients.

Start date: ASAP

End date: 2027-06-30

Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Description

The Cloud Foundation GCP team builds and runs SEB's platform in Google Cloud. That means landing zones, guardrails and the security functions that the bank's development teams rely on every day.

We are recruiting a permanent GCP developer, but the position is not yet filled. Until it is, we need an experienced consultant who steps into the role and keeps our deliveries on track. You will be part of the team from day one and work with us, not alongside us.

What You Will Be Working On

The platform in GCP

• Develop and maintain landing zones and the capabilities they build on.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code in Terraform.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Automate work that is done manually today.

Security and control

• Build and maintain policies, guardrails and automated compliance checks, both preventive and detective.
• Make sure the platform meets the bank's requirements for security and regulatory compliance.
• Review architecture and threat model new platform services before they go into production.

The team and the users

• Work closely with the GCP team and the development teams that use the platform.
• Support the developers so that doing the right thing is also the easy thing.
• Take part in the team's planning, follow-up and daily work.
• Document solutions, decisions and configurations, so the team can take over when you leave.

Your background

You have solid experience of:

• Google Cloud Platform in large, complex environments
• Terraform and infrastructure as code
• CI/CD, especially GitHub Actions
• Python
• Identity and access management, network security, and encryption and key management in the cloud
• Working in large enterprise environments with many stakeholders
• Agile ways of working and close collaboration in teams

Nice to have:

• PowerShell
• AWS and Azure
• Experience from banking, finance or another regulated industry
• Logging, SIEM or incident response
• A cloud security certification, for example Google Professional Cloud

You communicate well and enjoy collaborating, since you will be in close contact with the team every day. You also need to be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
