Job summary

Silex Microsystems AB in Stockholm is seeking a Process Equipment Engineer focused on the Furnace Area. You will be responsible for the technical health, reliability, and continuous improvement of equipment within the Furnace Area, bridging maintenance and process engineering.

You will lead root cause analyses, coordinate with service technicians and suppliers, develop monitoring and preventive maintenance plans, and ensure safety and documentation are up to date.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics.
• At least five years of manufacturing experience with strong equipment knowledge, preferably in semiconductor or MEMS.
• Experience with root cause analysis, data analysis, SPC, quality-control methods, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for furnace equipment, guide service technicians and lead complex troubleshooting.
• Coordinate technical escalation plans with Team Managers, Process Engineers, and suppliers.
• Use data to identify instability causes, define KPIs (uptime, MTBF, MTTR) and improve monitoring.
• Develop preventive maintenance routines and maintain technical documentation.
• Lead risk analyses and ensure LOTO and safety requirements are reflected in maintenance.
