Job summary

Workday is seeking a senior engineer to own Sana's core web stack from TypeScript/React frontend to Node services and monorepo infrastructure. You will design, build, and improve tooling, workflows, and deployment processes to enable fast, reliable shipping across teams.

You’ll advance performance, security, and developer experience while collaborating with product engineers to remove friction through better architecture and tooling. This role supports flexible, hybrid work in a global context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with web architecture, performance, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Sana’s TypeScript/React/Node foundations, including frameworks, services, and conventions.
• Maintain and improve monorepo tooling: build tools, dependency management, scripts, and shared services.
• Design and refine local development, testing, and build workflows so they’re fast, reliable, and easy to use.
• Optimize web performance, reliability, and security across our frontend and Node services.
• Shape and implement our testing strategy (unit, integration, end-to-end, visual) and related tooling.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, including caching, checks, and deployment workflows.
• Define and champion best practices for web development, debugging, and observability across teams.
• Collaborate closely with product engineers to identify friction points and remove them through better tooling and architecture.
