Job summary

X Shore is seeking a hands-on Manager to own the build-out of a new prototyping and test space in Nyköping. You will work with contractors to construct mechanical and electrical workshops, define layout and tooling, and recruit the initial prototyping and test engineering teams.

You’ll report to the Head of R&D and will be on-site full-time. The role requires taking ownership in a startup environment with few established processes, shaping the department from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Experience building prototyping or workshop facilities from scratch.
• Experience managing building contractors and fit-out projects.
• Experience hiring and building a technical team from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end build-out of prototyping and test space with contractors.
• Define layout, equipment, and tooling needs for a functional facility.
• Recruit, hire, and build prototyping and test engineering teams.
• Establish processes, safety practices, and standards for a new department.
• Manage budget and timeline for the physical build-out.
• Partner with R&D, production, and engineering leadership to support development needs.
• Lead day-to-day operations of prototyping and test once space and team are in place.
• Serve as hands-on contact for contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
