Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a financial, analytical, or product role within financial services, lending, or payments.
• Strong understanding of interest calculation methodologies (e.g. effective rate, simple/compound interest, XIRR).
• Experience writing detailed financial business rules and specifications.
• Solid grasp of product structures in consumer credit, BNPL, or instalment lending.
• Ability to verify that delivered systems implement complex financial specifications.

Responsibilities

• Define and document detailed requirements for interest calculation logic and accrual rules.
• Translate financial product requirements into precise specifications for suppliers.
• Verify and test product configuration delivered by suppliers for accuracy.
• Ensure mathematical and financial correctness, including edge cases and regulatory needs.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, and product teams to validate supplier deliveries.
• Support audit and regulatory reporting by ensuring transparent calculation logic.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in interest calculations or fee postings.
• Define and execute test cases for financial calculation logic (boundary/regression).
• Provide hands-on internal support on questions about interest, fees, and product behavior.
