Job summary

Einride is transforming road freight with digital, autonomous and electric technologies. We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Corporate Control team in Stockholm, focusing on our U.S. subsidiaries and international financial processes.

You will ensure accurate monthly closings, oversee VAT and sales tax, prepare reports, and drive improvements across group accounting and reporting. Fluency in English and Swedish is required; experience with U.S. subsidiaries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Several years of experience in accounting, audit or controlling in international companies.
• Solid understanding of group accounting, closing processes and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance function on accounting questions and ensure monthly closings for US subsidiaries are accurate and timely.
• Act as the first point of contact for VAT/Sales tax matters where subsidiaries operate.
• Review balance sheets and income statements and approve them as part of monthly closing.
• Prepare annual reports and other legal reporting for subsidiaries, including tax filings.
• Responsible for implementation of accounting standards and regulatory matters for subsidiaries.
• Drive improvement projects to enhance accounting processes and quality.
• Participate in group-level closing and reporting.
• Act as a point of contact for external auditors and service providers.

As Financial Controller at Einride, you'll be an important part of our Corporate Control team, with a primary focus on our U.S. subsidiaries. The role suits you if you want to combine accounting expertise with business understanding in an international environment, working closely with our accounting team to quality-assure the closing process and drive improvement projects that continuously enhance our financial processes over time.

You will:

• Support the finance function on accounting-related questions and ensure that monthly closings for our U.S. subsidiaries are accurate and follow the group's overall timeline
• Act as the first point of contact and drive VAT/Sales tax-related matters for the markets where our subsidiaries operate
• Review balance sheets and income statements and approve these as part of the monthly closing process
• Prepare annual reports and other legal reporting for subsidiaries, including tax filings
• Responsible for implementation of accounting standards and other regulatory matters for your subsidiaries
• Drive improvement projects that enhance quality and builds effective accounting processes
• Participate in group-level closing and reporting
• Act as a point of contact for external parties, such as local auditors and external service providers

We expect you to:

• Hold an academic degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Have several years of experience in accounting, audit and/or controlling in international companies
• Have a solid understanding of group accounting, closing processes and financial reporting
• Be used to working in environments with high demands on structure, quality and delivery
• Be comfortable taking initiative and driving improvements in processes and ways of working
• Have strong systems skills, including experience with larger ERP systems as well as Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Speak and write fluent English and Swedish
• Experience from working with U.S. subsidiaries is strongly advantageous
