Job summary

Badger Meter Inc is seeking an accounting professional in Sweden to handle accounts payable and receivable, banking reconciliations, and monthly close processes. The role will also cover VAT and statutory reporting, with an emphasis on accuracy in inventory transactions and ERP data maintenance.

Ideal candidates have post-secondary education in accounting/finance, strong Excel skills, and fluent Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working with ERP and financial systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in inventory administration or logistics is considered an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Finance: Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, and supplier payments.
• Finance: Manage Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment follow-up, and collections.
• Finance: Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Finance: Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Finance: Process and reconcile bank transactions.
• Finance: Prepare accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and statistical data.
• Perform VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting tasks.
• Inventory and Logistics: Record inbound and outbound inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Inventory and Logistics: Manage inventory transactions, including stock replenishment, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory variances.
• Inventory and Logistics: Ensure inventory balances are accurate and up to date.
• Inventory and Logistics: Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory valuations.
• Inventory and Logistics: Review purchase orders and shipping documentation.
• Inventory and Logistics: Coordinate with freight carriers, suppliers, and customers regarding deliveries.
• Inventory and Logistics: Follow up on delivery discrepancies and customer or supplier claims.
• Inventory and Logistics: Administer freight bookings and shipping documentation.
