Job summary

Plagazi AB seeks a Technical Project Director to lead FEED activities for a first-of-its-kind hydrogen project in Sweden. You will coordinate engineering across disciplines, oversee EPC contractors, and steer interfaces with stakeholders to meet milestones.

The role requires a master’s in engineering and 10+ years in large-scale infra projects, with fluency in Swedish/English. Based in Gothenburg HQ with hybrid work options, contributing to the decarbonization agenda.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Energy Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in engineering/project management roles, ideally in FEED/EPC phases of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong track record of managing technical scopes in energy, hydrogen, e-fuels, gasification, or electrolyzer-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the FEED phase, acting as Plagazi’s technical authority across engineering disciplines.
• Manage and supervise EPC and sub-supplier deliverables, ensuring technical alignment, quality assurance, and timely execution.
• Facilitate technical input into key project contracts (EPC, offtake, supply, O&M), including guarantee and warranty negotiations.
• Maintain an overview of the engineering schedule and interface requirements, aligning activities across stakeholders.
• Participate in project reviews, HAZOP/HAZID workshops, and design freeze decisions.
• Ensure safety, constructability and operability requirements are met while minimizing technical risk.
• Contribute to technical due diligence, permitting, and EU Innovation Fund reporting.
• Collaborate with development, operations and sustainability teams for long-term project success.
