Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council seeks a Family Worker to support children, young people and families using a whole-family approach across homes and communities.

You will lead assessments, coordinate with multi‑agency teams, and deliver targeted group work on parenting, development and healthy relationships. The role requires travel and a commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, signs of abuse and neglect.
• Understanding of school attendance importance and education access.
• Experience in assessments and family support planning.
• Experience in direct support to vulnerable families and evidence-based programmes.

Responsibilities

• Use a whole family approach to support families in homes and community.
• Complete assessments and act as Lead Professional with multi-agency team.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based group work for parents and carers.
• Travel locally and across the county as needed.
