Job summary

Axis Communications AB in Lund, Sweden is seeking an Export Control Advisor to own ECCN classifications, license applications, and screening across EU and US regimes. You will collaborate with Legal, R&D, Sourcing, Order and Sales to safeguard compliant global operations.

Join a diverse Trade Compliance team at Axis HQ and help shape processes, train colleagues, and engage with customs authorities. The role is permanent, based in Lund, with opportunities to grow and travel within regions.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in export control and international trade, covering both EU and US legislation
• In-depth knowledge of ECCN classification of products and software, restricted party screening, embargoes and sanctions
• Experience working with ISP and/or BIS export license processes
• Experience from a global business environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cultures and regions
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for export control matters across Axis
• Own ECCN classification of products and software under EU and US legislation
• Handle export licensing: gather the information needed and submit license applications and determinations
• Run daily restricted party screening
• Improve how we work: develop global and regional export control processes, including defining business requirements for IT tool development
• Represent Axis in meetings with customs and export control authorities
• Share your knowledge by training colleagues across the company

You'll be the go-to person for export control at a world leader in network video, work across borders and functions, and shape the processes that keep our global business moving. Join our Trade Compliance team at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team?

We're a team of fourteen people with different ages, genders, nationalities and backgrounds. That mix makes us stronger and makes work more fun.

Four of us work on Export Compliance. We make sure Axis follows export control regulations worldwide and that our high-tech products don't reach restricted countries, parties or users. The rest of the team works on Customs Compliance, keeping imports and exports compliant and efficient while keeping customs costs down. Your focus will be Export Compliance.

What You'll Do As Export Control Advisor

You'll protect Axis's ability to operate and grow globally. You'll handle complex EU and US export control legislation, embargoes and sanctions, and work closely with Legal, R&D, Sourcing, Order and Sales across regions. Your work will have an impact far beyond a single function.

Who are we looking for?

You keep track of the details without losing sight of the big picture, so you make the right priorities. You build strong relationships across organizational and cultural boundaries, and you're passionate about export compliance and supply chain.

We believe you have:

• Several years' experience in export control and international trade, covering both EU and US legislation
• In-depth knowledge of ECCN classification of products and software, restricted party screening, embargoes and sanctions
• Experience working with ISP and/or BIS export license processes
• Experience from a global business environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cultures and regions
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Bonus points for:

• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A continuous improvement mindset and experience with continuous improvement methods
