Export Control Advisor, Lund

Overview

You will be at the heart of Axis’s global operations, ensuring that high‑tech products reach customers worldwide responsibly and compliantly. In this role you will collaborate with Legal, R&D, Sourcing, Order, Sales and other functions across regions to safeguard our ability to operate and grow globally through compliance with EU and US export control legislation, embargoes and sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for export control matters.
• Classify commodities under EU and US legislation (ECCN classification).
• Gather required information and submit export license applications and determinations.
• Conduct daily restricted‑party screenings.
• Develop and improve export‑control processes, including defining business requirements for ITS tool development.
• Meet with customs and export‑control authorities as needed and represent Axis.
• Provide internal training on export‑control topics.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of experience in export control (EU, US legislation) and international trade.
• Detailed knowledge of ECCN, restricted‑party screening, embargoes, sanctions, etc.
• Experience with export‑license processes for ISP and/or BIS.
• Experience operating in a global business environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cultures and regions.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills

• Technical knowledge of electronics and/or software from a technical perspective.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable with continuous improvement methodologies and mindset.
