Job summary

Trans Europe Halles is seeking a confident Managing Director to lead the Coordination Office in Lund, Sweden, and oversee day-to-day operations, strategy and financial health.

The role combines internal leadership with external advocacy, fundraising, and representation, reporting to the Executive Committee. It requires collaborative, inclusive leadership and a deep understanding of the independent cultural sector in the EU.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in the cultural or charitable sector.
• Proven success in fundraising and budget management.
• Knowledge of the independent cultural sector in the EU.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse boards and funders.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and growth: spearhead organisational development and delivery of the Network Agenda.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to fuel sustainable development through public grants, sponsorships and philanthropy.
• Advocacy and representation: represent TEH at senior levels to raise its profile and forge sector networks.
• Projects: coordinate project managers and oversee project implementation and financial health.
• Finance: oversee budget development and resource allocation.
• Leadership and operations: provide oversight, mentoring, and ensure compliance and risk management.
