Job summary

Ericsson in Lund seeks newly graduated or early-career software engineers to help build the ISAC baseband software, a core piece of the path toward 6G. You will contribute to the full development flow from prestudies to verification on node level.

You will collaborate with experienced colleagues, learning baseband software, radio access networks and real-time embedded development, while applying modern AI-assisted workflows to improve speed and quality.

Qualifications

We are looking for newly graduated or early-career software engineers who want to help develop the baseband software that makes this possible. ISAC combines communication and sensing in the same radio network, opening new ways for mobile networks to understand the world around them while continuing to deliver high-performance connectivity. It is a technology area with potential to create significant impact for Ericsson, our customers and the future communication industry.

In this role, you will be part of Baseband Software in Lund, with a primary focus on L2 Scheduler. The scheduler decides how radio resources are used, how performance is balanced, and how new sensing capabilities can coexist with communication in a live network. For the right person, this is a chance to build deep technical expertise early, work close to real product development, and grow a career in an area that is highly relevant for Ericsson's future.

What you will do

You will be part of building Ericsson’s Integrated Sensing and Communication, ISAC, solution - a new domain that is expected to play an important role on the path toward 6G.

Together with the team, you will work across the full development flow, from early prestudies and technical exploration to system design, implementation, test, integration and end-to-end verification on node level.

You will join a team environment with a mix of newly recruited engineers and experienced colleagues. This gives you the opportunity to learn from people with deep knowledge of baseband software, radio access networks and real-time embedded development, while also contributing with new perspectives and modern ways of working.

• Develop high-quality ISAC software
• Participate in prestudies, design, implementation, test and verification of new ISAC capabilities and future 6G-related functionality.
• Explore how sensing and communication can coexist in the same radio network, including how radio resources, performance and system behavior are balanced.
• Use agentic AI and modern AI-assisted development workflows to improve development speed, code quality, knowledge sharing and verification.
• Contribute to learning how AI can support the product itself, as AI becomes an increasingly important part of future RAN and 6G solutions.
• Work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment where teams take joint responsibility for delivering functionality end to end.

The skills you bring

• Master of Science degree in a relevant area, or equivalent experience.
• Programming knowledge in C and/or C++, with experience in Python, Java or similar languages as a plus.
• Interest in software development for real products, preferably from studies, thesis work, internships or personal projects.
• Curiosity about end-to-end system behavior, including how software runs, interacts and is verified in a complete node or network solution.
• Familiarity with Linux, Git and modern AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Claude or similar is meriting.
