Job summary

Koenigsegg is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engine Development team responsible for the mechanical design and development of combustion engines. You will guide concepts through validation and production readiness, delivering cutting-edge hardware for high-performance applications.

In this hands-on leadership role you will set direction, grow your people, and foster collaboration across R&D to meet ambitious targets while staying close to the technology that drives our engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience in combustion-engine development, mechanical design or similarly complex hardware development.
• Previous experience leading engineers, technical teams or complex engineering deliveries.
• Strong understanding of combustion-engine systems and components.
• Experience taking hardware from concept and detailed design through validation and production.
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and tolerancing.
• Strong systems thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Experience from high-performance engine development, motorsport, Formula Student/FSAE or similarly demanding engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engine Development team, fostering technical excellence, ownership and collaboration.
• Set technical direction and priorities together with the team and stakeholders across R&D.
• Own the team’s delivery across engine design, validation, industrialisation and production support.
• Guide the development of engine systems and components to meet targets for performance, durability, weight, quality and manufacturability.
• Ensure robust engineering quality through design reviews, analysis, testing and root-cause investigations.
• Plan resources and competences across development projects.
• Work cross‑functionally to solve complex challenges spanning design, simulation, testing, engine control and manufacturing.
