Job summary

Tacton Systems AB, based in Stockholm, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead up to ~15 engineers and drive a broader transformation. You will own people, delivery, and help set the organizational strategy while remaining hands-on at heart.

You will coach engineers, remove impediments, and foster a culture of safety, trust, and accountability, collaborating with R&D, Product Management, and other technical leads to align goals and accelerate AI-enabled software development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading 10+ engineers as direct reports with the full spectrum of people management.
• Genuine technical background in software development and ability to engage credibly with engineers.
• Experience driving organizational change in engineering teams, not just observations.
• Practical experience with AI in software engineering at developer and leadership levels.
• Experience in companies of comparable scale to Tacton and navigating complexity without large enterprise resources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy and high-trust collaboration.
• Experience building B2B SaaS for large enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the people: own teams, manage performance and wellbeing, set goals and remove impediments.
• Coach and develop engineers through 1:1s and career guidance.
• Set the tone for a safe, trusted, and motivated engineering culture.
• Own delivery end to end: support high-quality software, balance technical excellence with time to market.
• Drive ownership: shift to teams owning software from design to production, including deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with R&D management, Product Management, and other leads to stay aligned.
• Help lead the transformation: contribute to the organizational vision and new ways of working with AI-native development.
