Benifex Sweden AB is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead two software teams and drive delivery across Gothenburg and a nearshore Poland team. The role emphasizes people leadership, performance coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality engineering outcomes.

You will partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads, shape roadmaps, and champion modern practices, including AI-enabled workflows. A senior leadership mindset and a passion for product quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager with senior leadership.
• Experience leading two engineering teams and delivering critical platform components.
• Strong people leadership including coaching, performance management, and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop two engineering teams with strong delivery performance.
• Act as first escalation point for engineers, guiding work and removing blockers.
• Own delivery outcomes across teams against roadmap and goals.
• Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads to align on roadmap and execution.
• Coach engineers and tech leads to support growth and capability.
• Drive agile ways of working with ceremonies and continuous improvement.
• Standardise and evolve engineering practices and processes.
• Facilitate collaboration across distributed teams and nearshore delivery.
• Use OKRs and metrics to measure quality and progress.
• Champion adoption of AI and modern tooling to improve efficiency.
• Recognise achievements to boost engagement and team morale.
