Job summary

Ascom in Gothenburg is seeking a software engineer to join our R&D organization to develop and maintain products and solutions.

You will design, develop and maintain embedded software for real-time devices, drivers and communication stacks, working in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has a degree, 2–5 years of experience, C++ for embedded systems, and strong English and Swedish skills; join a collaborative international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2–5 years of software design and development experience.
• Experience in C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time OS and inter-process communication.
• Knowledge of communication and data security protocols.
• Excellent English and Swedish language skills.
• Strong collaboration and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for real-time devices.
• Develop software for handsets, infrastructure and alarms.
• Create low-level drivers and hardware-near functionality.
• Work with RTOS and multitasking and IPC.
• Develop network stacks and radio communication features.
• Translate requirements into robust software features.
• Produce design and technical documentation.
