Job summary

Asperiq, a provider of secure communication systems, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to lead the bring-up of a brand-new product from board initialization through kernel and driver development, in Lund, Sweden or Baar, Switzerland.

You’ll write embedded C close to the hardware, collaborate with hardware engineers and backend developers, and help drive architecture decisions in an agile, cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with embedded C and low-level systems programming.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel and device driver development.
• Experience with hardware bring-up — booting new boards and bringing them to a stable state.

Responsibilities

• Leading bring-up of new hardware platforms — getting boards booting and stable from scratch.
• Developing and maintaining Linux kernel components and device drivers for custom hardware.
• Writing and debugging embedded C close to the hardware, including bootloaders, low-level drivers, and board support.
• Working closely with hardware engineers to debug and resolve hardware/software integration issues.
• Building and maintaining embedded Linux environments (Yocto or similar).
• Participating in agile team rituals like stand-ups and planning meetings, and being actively involved in technical decision-making.
• Collaborating across disciplines — from hardware engineers to backend developers — to deliver robust and secure products.
