Job summary

Alstom Västerås is looking for a full-time Embedded Software Developer to design and implement software components for embedded systems, ensuring quality, cost control and timely delivery. You will work with a small team to repack and configure existing distributions and add product-specific parts, while contributing to the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Computer Science degree and has strong C/C++ experience with Python, plus Rust knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong C/C++ experience and Python.
• Experience writing programs in Rust.
• Experience in software development processes such as V model, Agile etc.
• Technical knowledge in operating systems (Linux, RTOS) and embedded software development.
• Knowledge of cyber-security related development is preferred.
• Experience in planning, tracking and delivering projects.
• English skills are mandatory, Swedish skills are preferred.
• Willing to travel occasionally.
